The charity will move its HQ team to 4,000 sq.
ft. of new office space spanning four floors at 7-8 Philpot Lane.
An integral part of London’s emergency
infrastructure, London’s Air Ambulance relies heavily on donations. Currently
fundraising for a second helicopter and extended flying hours, this donation
from Land Securities ensures the charity can focus its attention on achieving
its expansion goals.
London
is alone among its world peers in relying on one helicopter for airborne
medical services.
London’s Air Ambulance CEO, Graham Hodgkin,
said: “We are extremely grateful to Land Securities for their generous
contribution towards our charity’s expansion.
While the clinical and aviation
teams will continue to be based at the helipad at The Royal London Hospital in
Whitechapel, this is an exciting opportunity for the charity which will enable
us to benefit from closer proximity to our stakeholders in the City and central
London.”
Scott Parsons, Head of Property London, Land
Securities said: “We are passionate about London at Land Securities and are
thus delighted to support the vital work of London’s Air Ambulance by providing
a new home for them in the City. We are committed to supporting the communities
which surround our properties and we believe enabling the expansion of London’s
Air Ambulance will be of great benefit to all Londoners.”
