City Hall is a short walk away from the
corporate offices of the John Lewis Partnership and the head office of John
Lewis in Victoria Street. The store is set to open in the summer of 2013 and is
expected to create up to 50 jobs.
Waitrose opened its latest little Waitrose
shop on 5th April in Vauxhall and plans to open at least another nine during
2013, including the new store in Victoria.
Head of Development in London at Land Sec, Colette
O’Shea said, “We are excited to welcome little Waitrose to Victoria where it
will be a great addition to the evolving retail offer in the area.”
“We are delighted with the continued success
we’ve had in attracting a diverse range of tenants to Victoria and will keep
talking to Londoners about what they want for the area so that it remains one
of the most exciting and vibrant parts of our London portfolio."
Waitrose Director of Development, Nigel Keen
said, “This is an exciting opportunity to add the Waitrose brand to a thriving
retail destination and underlines our ambition to continue improving our
accessibility to those in the capital who wish to shop with us."
